The District Table was designed by Justin Couch in 2006 and continues to be the most popular piece that he has made. While the table appears to be a hollow cube with a chunk bitten out of it, the form is actually taken from the municipal boundaries of the District of Columbia. The cut follows the Potomac River and is the boundary between DC and Virginia. This configuration provides ample storage and gives the piece a striking and intriguing presence. |
The table is produced in walnut veneered ply and a choice of white or black interior. |
